The challenge
Boutique Whitening had an existing warehouse which was massively overcrowded with no space for a mezzanine floor. As a result, they decided to take on an additional unit which was to accommodate the majority of their staff and storage. Following discussions with the client, we agreed that a mezzanine floor would be most beneficial as none of their stock was palletised,
The solution
We designed a mezzanine floor (14,135mm x 19,630mm) which was just under half the size of their new warehouse. The floor was being used for a mixture of storage and offices for staff and was completed with a hand rail, knee rail, kicker plate, pallet gate and two access staircases. Due to the size of the floor, two staircases were needed in order to comply with building regulations.
The outcome
The customer was extremely pleased with the project as, from start to finish, we worked closely to come up with the most cost-effective solution.
This is the perfect example of why a refurbished mezzanine floor should always be considered, coming in at a fraction of the price of a new floor but with all the same benefits. Refurbished floors can also be delivered to site in a much smaller time frame. The customer praised us on the design and installation and, with the project being delivered on time, within budget, and with zero disruption to the firm’s operations, the client was extremely happy with the entire process.
