Carbon Superbikes – mezzanine floor

The challenge

Carbon Superbikes approached us requiring a mezzanine floor for their new warehouse in York. Whilst they had moved into a new facility, they still required additional space as they had already filled the floor space available. They needed the new floor in order to store motorbikes.

The solution

As the client already had in mind what he wanted, it was no issue coming up with a solution. We designed the client a mezzanine floor (9155mm x 7400mm) with a finished floor level of 2.7m in height.

Due to the requirement to store motorbikes on top of the mezzanine, we supplied a 4.0kn floor which worked out at approximately 500kg per square meter. The mezzanine was also supplied with a staircase and pallet gate so that the client could safely access the platform. We used a mixture of fully refurbished and new components to keep the price as competitive as possible.

The outcome

The mezzanine floor project was a huge success due to the fact that it allowed the customer to double his storage capacity without having to get a larger unit. A mezzanine floor is a perfect solution to this kind of challenge.

The customer went on to recommend us to his clients and, following those referrals, we then supplied mezzanine floors to those companies as well.
